Just got done playing with Google Earth and all I can say is “wow!”
Since most won’t know what it is, Google Earth is a program you can download (just released today) that allows you to enter any location on the planet (of course the US will have MUCH greater detail) and zoom into it from way out in space like you see in movies. It uses satelite photography to populate what you see (so naturally some will have better quality then others, as NY, NY is going to have more details pics then Ephraim Utah), and then you can click and drag around to other places… so… much… fun…!!
Every time I ran into a new cool feature my jaw would drop a little farther. The fluid zoom, rotate, and angle can be played with for hours. Adding in the other features such as 3D buildings, earthquakes, etc. are even more fun. It’s got a whole section of local businesses that you can turn on to see where they are in whatever city, that hooks into the Google Local database (food, banks, schools, pharmacies, movie rentals, etc). It even has other funky things like Crime Stats, Census data, Postal Code boundries and more… although I didn’t run into any of those that worked in my local area (Utah) so that may be only available in certain places.
It is so much fun I am seriously considering upgrading to the Google Earth Plus to be able to get the cool extra features.
I know that hundreds of people will be writing about this today, but I was so impressed I just had to add my .02. Go download it and have some fun… it’s awesome!

OK… so we can’t seem to come up with a name we like for the little guy. So this is a request for any input into the matter.
A few requitements/suggetsions.
- The baby is a boy… no girl names please
- We’re not really interested in really funky names… no “Alehandro” type things.
- I’m kinda picky about names that have way obvious nicknames that the poor guy is going to get made fun of all the time. Charles (upchuck), Richard (you know what it is), etc… are a no go
- Middle name is potentially going to be Aaron to carry on my distinct heritage in ways other then screwing up half of his DNA.
- No “Utah” names… Brigham, Moroni, etc
Names that are currently on the list, but that we aren’t 100% sold on are:
Yeah… not a very long list. Thus this post.
Will update with any new requirements, and names as we come up with them. Thanks for any help!

Updates? What are those?
So not much of an update here, but figured I’d be greedy and put up our Baby Registries
Babies ‘R’ Us
Target
Make sure to get a few things as it will make you feel better, and we’ll like you more
We’re also interested in any Disney related things, but not too heavy on the “Winnie the Pooh” stuff. We flagged most any Disney stuff on the above, but they didn’t have much to choose from. Kaylene also has a “Monkey” fettish, so monkeys work too. Sadly, there are no Disney Monkeys that I know of. Ape’s yes (Tarzan) but can’t think of any monkeys.
